Lungs Of The World (Paru-Paru Dunia)

Rain forest (hanumkecebong.blogspot.com)
Ever heard the expression "Indonesia is Lungs of the world"? Is it still relevant phrases now? Given the increasingly large number of our forests, felled and marred by a group of ignorant and greedy people ...... ...Do us proud with this phrase? Or just the opposite, we should be ashamed for not being able to take care it well?

 Illegal Logging ( dccomunity.blogspot.com)
Most forest contributes oxygen to the needs of the world is tropical rain forest types, which in this forest grows a wide variety of plant species.  It’s forest overgrown with diverse animal populations as well. Usually there are regions that have a high rainfall levels were so high moisture anyway. The soil was very fertile, moist and has high humus content. Woods from the tree are large and long with a very good quality used for a variety of purposes. It's what makes the tropical rain forest wood much hunted by illegal logger.  The trees that have high-quality wood was cut down solely to meet the needs of the market in both domestic and abroad.

In addition to logging activities or illegal logging our forests are also widely undermined by the activities of the opening of forest land by the local people to make as a rubber plantation, Palm or other types of plants.  Sometimes they use extreme ways to open a forest by means of cutting down and burning it.

Another sector that most contributed to the damage of tropical rain forest in Indonesia is mining activities.  They cut down up millions of hectares of forest area that they believe to be a lot containing mineral resources as well as metal, oftentimes they use tools like detonator destroyer or bombs to pave the way for other heavy equipment digging implement. They rake resources that exist in it, and then they leave well enough alone when no more can be taken. A large gaping hole in many place of the former mining area that in fact it was the mountains and forests before.

Damages that occur inevitably led to many disasters. For real sample is flash flood in  Wasior Papua, which led to dozens of people died, a landslide in the area of Sukabumi, Cianjur and many other areas prone to landslides, drought that hit most of the year, an increase of global warming and others. Not to mention the attack of wild animals lose their habitat to areas of the Township. Like happen in Lampung region which have attack by wild elephant.

Therefore, to avoid the catastrophes that larger again, let's stop all the damage to forests and nature activities.  One way with reforestation or replanting the trees have been cut down, stop all forms of mining activity permit grants the regions protected forest or permit the opening of the new forest. Make firmly to perpetrators of illegal logging so that the expected deterrent effect would cause the offender.

A musing that must be thought by all of us, that forests are not belong to us all that we can use at will but the forest is a legacy for our grandchildren the future to come.  So it should be kept and preserved its existence so that poses no calamities and tribulations to our grandchildren in the future. Go green Indonesia............!
